KATS Theatre Group is proud to boast being Kilkenny’s oldest amateur theatre group, having been established in 1986 by Michael Casey.
We are nearing the end of our fourth decade of performing for Kilkenny
audiences and had the immense pleasure of entertaining thousands
of people bringing them laughs, shocks, tears and scares🎭

Character Construction Workshop with Christine Scarry
On Sunday 17th May we are hosting a Character Construction workshop with Christine Scarry.
Christine’s workshop will be centred around building your character, in the style of Uta Hagen. For a portion of the workshop, Christine will be working on individual monologues, so she is requesting that participants bring a monologue that they would like to work on.

Scar Tissue is about a heart surgeon whose own heart is in disrepair. As she takes on a new patient- a veteran- she is overcome by her own sense of loss as she is haunted by the loss of her daughter who died in the war in Afghanistan.
